This year we decided to FINALLY make our Trip to Wilmington, NC to visit Luke's Dad Mark and Step Mom Amy. This the first time the kids have been to their Grandpa's house together. Our first flight was at 10:30pm out of Phoenix and we landed an hour early in Philadelphia,PA. We had a 5 hour layover and FINALLY left en route to Wilmington, NC at 9am. When we arrived in Wilmington Grandpa was waiting with big open arms for his grandsons! We went back to the house and went swimming. Amy came home early and we ate some lunch. The week has been full of activities. The kids went to the aquarium with Grandpa and Amy. We all went fishing for whatever we could catch. We ended up catching two baby sharks, a crab, a snail, a fish, and some seaweed. The most exciting day was going to Grandpa and Amys private Island. We even found a pirate map and yes we found the treasure as well! Pirate booty!! The kids enjoyed watching two dolphins swim by us and it was just so magical and breath taking. The kids enjoyed their time at Monkeys Joes which is an indoor jump place full of every bouncy you can imagine. It was fun watching the kids go from having full levels of energy to complete exhaustion. My 2nd cousin Brian came down to visit us as well and we had fun catching up on the family tree and hanging out on the pier and listening to the piano bar guys sing rap and play it on the piano. Pretty entertaining when they were playing baby got back on the piano. This week so far has been full of many memories that all of us will cherish forever.
